[Scam Warning] Rogue App Claims to Track Who's Viewing Your Profile
Posted By: Keleigh on March 17, 2010 | No Comments
Somehow, someway Facebook has allowed at least 25 applications with such names as peeppeep-pro, profile-check-online and stalk-my-profile that claim to be able to tell you who has been viewing your Facebook profile. All of which have been identified as SPAM.
If you install this app, you will simply be taken through of series of convincing looking set-up screens but now matter how many times you “Continue” you never activate any actual application that tells you who’s viewing your profile. Instead, you’re pushed through to other Facebook Apps earning the creator profits and giving you nada.
Other versions of this application creates a photo montage of infected users and posts it tagging the users to add to its more “authentic” look.
Facebook has since removed the apps but they may still appear. If they should arise again, remember this: Facebook has no official functionality to see who has been viewing your profile. If you see an application like this, it’s scam to simply generate revenue for ad affiliates with clicks and hits.
Thanks to Trend Micro for this information.

Deep Pockets + Bling Addiction = Diamond Studded iPad
Posted By: Keleigh on March 17, 2010 | No Comments
As celebrities continue to “Bling” out everything from iPod’s, sunglasses, watches. to teeth, dog collars, and leashes the craze of diamond studding still continues to hit new lows (or highs?).
Recently, Mervis Diamond Importers decided to be the first to offer a Diamond Studded iPad for only $19,999. Only.
Mervis told TheRegister that “it was a matter of time that before someone creates, so I wanted to be the first”.
I am curious, however, to see how many of these puppies he sells. Interested in one? Visit the website. If you actually buy one, let me know!
Twitter: DM and E-mail Filters Added
Posted By: Keleigh on March 17, 2010 | No Comments
Notice a lot of random crazy DM messages this year on Twitter providing a link to go to? Hopefully you didn’t click the link because these DM’s are phishing DM’s sending you to very bad links. A couple of these DM’s follow the lines of:
Is this u in this vid? [bad link here]
This you??? [bad link here]
24/female and horny [bad link here]
Twitter has FINALLY implemented a filtering system that filters DM’s and e-mail notifications for harmful/phishing links, rejects them and sends the legitimate DM’s/notifications through. You may notice new Short URL’s, twt.tl too!
Hopefully this will put an end to those annoying DM’s and Twitter can be a slightly safer place.

Hawaii : Professional Pictures

As promised, here are some more pictures from our recent vacation to Hawaii. These are the professional pictures that we purchased (and paid an arm, leg, and first born for). I did notice that in the pictures from the Luau, those flip flops and that dress make my legs look stubby. Euw. LoL.
++++ Please excuse the compression of the pix… I didn’t crop them so they are still HUGE but WP keeps them small.

Well, enjoy!

Should have stuck with the Big Salad
Posted By: Keleigh on March 5, 2010 | 2 Comments
I believe karma has stricken me with tasteless lunch because I strayed from my diet. Today, deciding to give Breakfast Club’s breakfast a try, I got the Country Fried Steak & Eggs.
Total #FAIL. The CFS was soggy, the eggs were watery, and the hash browns were soft and cold. I was rather disappointed in today’s meal, not saying Breakfast Club makes bad CFS but today it was not good. Maybe it’s because they were closing soon, who knows? Maybe it’s Karma saying “Keleigh, DON’T EAT THAT!”. It does, however, seem kind of pointless to work out every morning then eat like crap.
Definitely going to stick with my Big Salad next time.
Salad Goodness – Lunch 03.04.10

Today I went to Breakfast Club in Downtown Orlando for some lunch. I’ve always driven past the restaurant but never really gave much thought to eating there since I eat breakfast at home. Well, thanks to my dearest nemisis Marky Mark, I discovered they had lunch. Not really sure what I wanted but wanting to stay on my healthy diet I decided to have a chef salad. Let me tell you, this salad was AMAZING. I wish I could let you taste it from my blog it was so good! Like, ORGASM IN YOUR MOUTH GOOD! Haha!
Here are a few pics of my Green Salad Goodness. Maybe I should simply call it, the “Big Salad”. Seinfeld anyone?

Well hello there!
It’s been awhile, yes? I have to extend my apologies for the lack of blog updates, again. LoL. I always feel like I have something to share with the world but since I spend most of my day at work on a computer it’s like ugh, do I have to? when I get home from work.
Anywho, I have some exciting things to report, not that you care.
Hawaii: At the end of January I flew to Hawaii to take a nice long cruise to all of the Hawaiian Islands. We chose Norwegian Cruise Lines‘s Pride of America. Beautiful ship, awesome service, awesome company. I totally recommend NCL for any cruises you wish to take.
Hawaii, however, was absolutely beautiful. A lot of people in Florida say that there is no point of visiting Hawaii because we have beaches and palm trees here. Boy are they missing out! Hawaii is much, much more than beaches and palm trees. Each island is unique, beautiful, and the culture of Hawaii is so amazing! The natives are also extremely nice and always ready to share a piece of their heritage with you. We hiked up the volcanoes, we snorkeled around the reefs and saw an abundance of tropical fish as well as the endagered Hawaiian Monk Seal. He was about 3 years and BIG. LoL. So CUTE though! We hiked in the Rainforest where we learned that you can pretty much live entirely off of the land. The vegetation supplies fruits, vegetables, and even the stuff you can’t eat has some sort of medical usage. Absolutely wonderful if I do say. One day I will post pictures, LoL. Maybe I will even share them with you, but first I need to show my family! They are still waiting. Oops. :-\
College I am officially a College Freshmen.
Yes, it’s true! I begin college in May…it’s been 7 years since I graduated High School so this should be interesting. I’m being a dubbed a “non-traditional student” and that makes me feel old! 25 is not old though! Ha! But yes, soon I have to go shopping for school supplies and you can probably expect blogs about how much I hate math but when it comes down to it I am really REALLY happy to be back in school.
Gym & Healthy Eating In my quest to lose a few inches around my waist so I can fit in to my jeans again, my boyfriend and I have adopted a new healthier lifestyle. We’ve cut out soda (RIP: Sprite) and alcohol (which I didn’t really drink anymore anyway), cut down on red meat, sugars, and junk food. We’re eating a lot of fish for our Omega-3′s
, limiting our starches, eating lots of salads, fruits, and veggies. w00t. He’s been a gym goer but I myself, have not. I’ve never needed to work out but as I approach 30, slowly but surely, it seems I must start. This morning at 5:00am we got our happy selves out of bed and went to the gym. I am sore, my arms are useless but I FEEL GOOD! Now the hard part is to keep the routine going and get up everyday and go. *sigh*
That seems to be the bulk of want I wanted to post in this post…so…yeah. I have other things to blog about but I must get back to work. It’s taken me three hours to type this because I’m squeezing in words every few seconds, lol.
P.S. If you have any healthy food recipes you need to send them to meeee! Mahalo!
AT&T vs Verizon – The Clash of Titans
Posted By: Keleigh on December 9, 2009 | 2 Comments
Since the iPhone’s creation and launch users have flocked to AT&T to get on board the iPhone craze and phenom. With the ever increasing Features and Apps you can pretty much do anything with the iPhone. Thus, “There’s an App for That” was born. In the widely popular “App for That” commercials to boast the abundance of apps available to do this, that, and the next thing while on “the World’s fastest 3G Network” just by purchasing and using the iPhone, popularity continued to soar and it seems like everyone had an iPhone.
Then, as it seems, Verizon had an epiphany. What good is the “World’s Fastest 3G Network” if you can’t connect to 3G because it is not available in your area. And so it begins. “There’s a Map for That” commercials begin. Verizon picked at the open wound of AT&T and the fact that they do have a small 3G network compared to that of Verizon. While this is only half true [read this for the technical hoopla], it resulted in a lawsuit filed by AT&T against Verizon, a counter-suit from Verizon and then the dropping of both lawsuits.
As if that sore was not sore enough Consumer Reports ranked AT&T dead last in Customer Satisfaction. Ouch. One thing is for sure, AT&T’s iPhone Exclusivity contract will be coming to an end, probably sometime in 2010, and if their act (and network) isn’t cleaned up and iPhone plans revised to be competitive instead of more expensive, we will see a mass exodus of iPhone users to competitors for network coverage, satisfaction, and/or price of plans.
Now, enough of AT&T, Verizon is not without its woes. Currently, the FCC is investigating Verizon’s sudden increase of their early termination fee for “advanced devices” from $175 to $350 and the FCC is also investigating whether Verizon is guilty of some shady charging practices. Apparently Verizon is charging a $1.99 fee for users who accidentally access Verizon Mobile Web without a data plan. $1.99 doesn’t seem like much but multiply that by thousands of users who inadvertently press it and they’ve made themselves some free money! Read more about this at The Register.
So basically we have a choice regarding the top two Wireless Giants. One that ranks poorly in customer satisfaction or one that has some shady money making agendas.
T-Mobile anyone?
