We’re on day forever of our isolation from this novel coronavirus going around. Schools are closed, millions are without work and without a paycheck. I don’t even really want to get in to the politics but I will just say that we do need to be mindful that there is no playbook for this… this is a new virus and initial data from China was all lies. Many of our local leaders (democrat and republican) have done what they felt was best based on what they knew at the time and what experts were saying at the time… (remember, in mid January the WHO tweeted that China “studies” showed human to human transmission wasn’t happening) so of course alarm bells were not ringing as they should have been had China told the truth. Then we were told that it does transfer human to human but only about 1-2 people get infected from 1 person… about the same as the flu… new independent studies show that that number is actually now 5 people being infected by 1 person. Looking back, I think a lot of people would have done things a lot differently had we known then what we know now… hindsight is always 2020. It’s not fair to hold a decision against someone when they didn’t have correct information. How they adapt and change their policy is what’s important moving forward with facts and clearer information.
Now, enough of that nonsense. What are you quarantine goals as of late? Are you taking the opportunity to spend more quality time with your family? Fix up the house? Or catching up on shows?
My day hasn’t changed much. I still watch all 3 of my kiddos and the pup. KD starts VPK in August (hopefully) so we’re excited about that. Ky will probably go a couple days per week to the same center we send KD so that he can get acclimated to the center while KD is there. It’s nice to have a sibling around… makes things less scary I think.
